05 - Add half the strawberry mixture to each jar, distributing evenly.
06 - Repeat with remaining oat mixture and strawberry mixture to create distinct layers.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It tastes like you spent way more time than you actually did, which is the dream for busy mornings or when unexpected guests want dessert.
  • Everything can be prepped in 10 minutes, then the refrigerator does the hard work while you sleep or live your life.
  • The layering trick creates this beautiful visual moment that makes eating feel intentional instead of just functional.
02 -
  • Don't skip the lemon juice on the strawberries, because I learned the hard way that without it they turn into slightly sad mushy bits by morning, but with it they stay bright and perky.
  • Eight hours is genuinely the minimum, but if you make these the night before and eat them two mornings later they're somehow even better, so prep-ahead confidence is justified here.
03 -
  • If you love nut butter like I do, add a thin layer of almond or peanut butter between your oat and strawberry layers for incredible richness without making things too heavy.
  • Make sure your jars are perfectly clean and dry before layering, because any residual water can throw off your ratios and make things more watery than creamy.
