- In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the diced apples, lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5–7 minutes until the apples are tender and the juices have thickened into a syrup. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Spoon the cooled apple mixture evenly onto the center of each flour tortilla. Fold in the sides of each tortilla, then roll up tightly to form wraps.
- Brush each assembled wrap generously all over with the melted butter.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Roll each buttered wrap in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until thoroughly coated.
- Place the coated wraps seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, or until the wraps are golden brown and crisp.
- Allow the wraps to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, optionally accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
